RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said on Sunday that his party would continue to raise corruption issues and make them public.
Speaking to the media when asked if the resignation of Bihar Minister Mewalal Choudhary was a victory for him, Mr Tejashwi said: “The term in the polls was for a change and everyone knew what a scam FIR was filed against Mewalal. Despite this he won and was was appointed Minister of Education. I have already raised my voice. “
“We demanded his resignation (from Mewalal) and it happened. We will continue to raise the corruption issues and make them public,” he said.
Bihar’s Minister of Building Construction Ashok Chaudhary was given additional responsibility for the education department on Thursday following the resignation of Mewalal Choudhary over corruption allegations.
The Governor of Bihar, Phagu Chauhan, appointed Ashok Chaudhary as Minister of Education on the recommendation of the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar.
Mewalal Choudhary was one of 14 ministers who were sworn in on November 16 as part of Nitish Kumar’s new term as chief minister of Bihar.
