Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Tuesday expressed concerns that the state government is “trying to suppress” criticism.
Tejashwi was speaking in response to the governor’s speech to the Legislative Assembly. “Even raising the voice of critics is not tolerated (by the government). I continue to post several revelations about the system on social media… ”he said. Tejashwi, however, made no reference to any example.
On Monday, reporters questioned Chief Minister Nitish Kumar about a case against a television journalist under the Computer Law. Nitish, however, denied any knowledge of the same, saying he had asked officials “to properly investigate the case.”
