Spider-Man 3 got three first look photos and three titles – Spider-Man: Phone Home, Spider-Man: Home Slice, and Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker – from its three stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon. If you’re wondering why a movie has three titles, it’s because Sony Pictures and Disney-owned Marvel Studios are clearly playing with audiences (just check out these hilarious titles, there’s no way they’re real) . They also clearly play on the film’s multiverse plot, which would see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprise their roles as Spider-Man, alongside returning villains in Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus.
Holland, Batalon and Zendaya revealed the first three official images (and all three absurd titles) of the still untitled Spider-Man 3 – the 2019 sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home – to their Instagram accounts on Tuesday one after the other. the other . All three photos feature the three stars from Spider-Man 3 that posted them. The photos are all linked, with the stars sporting the same clothes (Zendaya and Batalon have their jackets in two images and took them off in the third.) The Spider-Man 3 images are all placed in a basement of some sort. .
As for the titles, the word “Spider-Man” is in three different colors: green, silver and magenta. Maybe the colors mean something, hinting at references to other Marvel Cinematic Universe characters who should be involved in Spider-Man 3. Or maybe they’re just an extension of the studios – Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios – which drag fans even further. Many expected Holland to clear up the title confusion Spider-Man 3 when he appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show on Tuesday, which he did not. But that was still unlikely as the Spider-Man news still came out of Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show that aired on Disney-owned ABC.
Spider-Man 3 is set to hit theaters around the world on December 17. There are three MCU movies planned before this: Black Widow (May 7), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (July 9), and Eternals (November 5). Compliance with their release dates depends on the quality of the COVID-19 vaccinations.
