Bombay: The Mumbai Cricket Association has applied to the Maharashtra government for permission to hold its 84th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in person at Wankhede Stadium on December 18.
Mumbai was one of the cities most affected by COVID-19 and had 9,325 active cases on Thursday.
“The Apex Council decided to hold the 84th AGM on December 18, 2020 at Wankhede Stadium.
“The Association has asked the state government to authorize the holding of the AGM at Wankhede Stadium with the physical presence of the members. The permission of the state government is awaited,” the members of the secretary informed. MCA Sanjay Naik and Co-Secretary Shahalam Shaikh.
However, the Cricket Corps stated that “in the event that permission for a physical meeting is not granted, then the AGM will be held by videoconference.”
