Singer Jaan Kumar Sanu was kicked out of Bigg Boss House 14 on Sunday. The other nominees were Rubina Dilaik, Jasmin Bhasin, Eijaz Khan, Nikki Tamboli and Kavita Kaushik.

The youngest son of legendary playback singer Kumar Sanu, Jaan’s real name is Jayesh Bhattacharya. He was the first contestant in Bigg Boss history to be featured before the first night. The youngest competitor of the Bigg Boss house, Jaan’s journey was nothing short of a roller coaster ride.

While he started out as the underdog, he went from strength to strength through his friendship with Nikki Tamboli. While the singer seemed attracted to her, Nikki passed him off as a friend and even pulled her legs up saying he was her “bhai jaan”. In the past few weeks, however, the two have gone their separate ways after Nikki accused Jaan of kissing her without her consent.

It wasn’t just Nikki Tamboli, but Jaan Kumar Sanu failed to maintain his other relationships on the show. While he viewed Eijaz Khan and Nishant Singh Malkani as his older brothers, he had a confrontation with the two. Nishant, in an interview with indianexpress.com, had even said that he would never want to meet Jaan again because there is no way to rekindle the friendship. The singer was also the recipient of Rahul Vaidya’s nepotism remark.

The 26-year-old also found himself in a controversy over his remarks considered degrading by part of the Marathi people. While Rahul and Nikki were speaking in Marathi, after a fight with Jaan, he had asked them not to speak in the language because it is irritating. After a backlash on social media, Colors and Jaan Kumar Sanu publicly apologized for hurting feelings.

Before entering the series, Jaan Kumar Sanu, a self-proclaimed fan of Sidharth Shukla, was confident about his game plan. Jaan had even shared that he would take this opportunity to make a name for himself, in addition to being the son of Kumar Sanu. “Bigg Boss is watched by millions of people, and this will be a great opportunity for me to join them. Yes, I am Kumar Sanu’s son, but I have my own identity and personality. I am much more than being his son. I want the public to love me for who I am, ”he said.

The Ka Vaar weekend episode on Sunday also saw the presence of Ekta Kapoor, who not only played fun games with the contestants, but also gave Rubina Dilaik ‘mani’ immunity.
