Actors Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur came on board for a social comedy called “Dasvi”. The film, produced by Dinesh Vijan, Sandeep Leyzell and Shobhana Yadav, aired on Monday.
Rookie director Tushar Jalota will direct “Dasvi” from a screenplay written by Ritesh Shah, known for “Pink” and “Batla House”. “From the creators of ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Angrezi Medium’ and ‘Bala,’ comes a hilarious social comedy ‘Dasvi’ starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur,” read a note from the authors. Bachchan, 45, took to Instagram and shared his first look at the film as Ganga Ram Chaudhary. The poster features the “Ludo” star sporting a rugged look with a salt and pepper beard, against a dashboard background.
“Filming for ‘Dasvi’ begins,” Bachchan wrote. The film is presented by Jio Studios and Maddock Films of Vijan.
Besides “Dasvi”, Bachchan will then be seen in the thriller supported by director Sujoy Ghosh “Bob Biswas” and “The Big Bull”, based on the life of stockbroker Harshad Mehta.
