London: Jose Mourinho said “no one is happy but no one is depressed” at struggling Tottenham, affirming his determination to pull the club out of its downward spiral.

Spurs have lost five of their last six Premier League games to escape the Champions League and Mourinho finds himself in an unprecedented situation during his long managerial career.

The former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United boss has said the current run marks the success of his career and is committed to a successful stint at the London club.

“I want to know which coach has always had blue skies and never cloudy or a little dark,” he said ahead of his side’s second leg in the Europa League’s last 32 games against Wolfsberger on Wednesday.

“Maybe just a manager who is still at a dominant club in a league. It shows how great my career has been. Does it get me down? No. It’s a challenge. I work for the club. , players and supporters. “

Mourinho, whose side led 4-1 after the first leg against the Austrian side, said he was “hurt” by the poor run of results but felt more motivated than ever.

“I have never felt what coaches normally feel when the results are bad – these are single men,” the Portuguese said on Tuesday.

“This is what we normally are. I never felt that in this building. I feel not only respected but supported. Everyone in the same boat.

“No one is happy but no one is depressed. I feel positive. Maybe a little weird for you after losing so many matches but I’m positive. I’m not happy but I wake up wanting to come here . Everyone likes to train and work hard with so many matches. “

Mourinho said he was in constant contact with President Daniel Levy and there was no friction between the two.

“My relationship has been the same from day one, which is one of respect and open communication,” he said. “We respect each other. There is no contradiction between us because we both feel the same.”
