DNA Exclusive: ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang aims to destroy India’s constitutional structure but separatism has no place in democracy

In DNA Tuesday, Sudhir Chaudhary, editor of Zee News, analyzes the expansionist idea of the “ Tukde Tukde ” gang, whose aim is to destroy the constitutional structure of India, and this gang has also started talking to dismantle the West. Bengal and Maharashtra with Khalistan. Simply put, this gang’s goals are now taking on a new form of expansionism and it has started to germinate ideas of separatism on the soil of West Bengal and Maharashtra as well.

There is a continuing demand for a separate nation – Khalistan for Sikhs under the guise of the peasant movement, but now a Khalistani organization called Sikhs For Justice has started working on their new plan for West Bengal and Maharashtra. This organization operates from the United States and the name of the person who heads it is Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, accused of promoting Khalistan’s request in India by taking funding from Pakistan.

Several cases of treason have been recorded against him in India. But despite all of this, he is not afraid of anyone and now he is asking West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray that these two states separate from India.

He posted a video and also claimed to have written a separate letter to CM Banerjee and CM Thackeray about it. We demand that Pannu be stopped immediately. For this, the Indian government should speak to the United States, which sees itself as the champions of democracy. Pannu runs a law firm in the United States, one office in New York and the other in California. Apart from these, two properties of Pannu are in Amritsar, Punjab, which was seized by the NIA in 2020.

Pannu studied law at the University of Punjab and this is the reason why he now says that if the states of West Bengal and Maharashtra are separated from India, it will help them in the international court. He studied law in India and now he incites people in the name of law to break India. The Khalistani organization Sikhs For Justice was founded in 2007 in the United States.

This organization is banned in India and is also on the radar of the country’s investigative agency NIA. We are going to tell you five such things related to Sikhs for Justice and Pannu, which proves that this organization wants to break India. First, this organization launched an anti-India campaign called Referendum 2020. The aim was to create a separate country called Khalistan for Sikhs by holding a referendum in Punjab.

Second, the same organization wrote a letter saying that on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26, the person who would hoist the flag of Khalistan at the Gateway of India, a reward of 2.5 million dollars or Rs 82 lakh crore will be given. On that day, nothing happened at the Gateway of India, but at the Red Fort some people hoisted the flag of a particular religion and also challenged the Constitution. Third, the government banned this organization under the Prevention of Illegal Activities Act in July 2019.

Fourth, at present, Pannu has control of this organization and has many cases of treason in India. In July 2019, two new cases of sedition were also recorded by the Punjab police against Pannu. Finally, Pannu seeking Khalistan obtains funding from Pakistan for it.

Our readers should also understand why Pannu, who demanded Khalistan, only chose the states of West Bengal and Maharashtra to break up India. Currently there is the government of Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal and the Congress-Shiv Sena-NCP coalition government in Maharashtra. There have been many clashes between the governments of these two states and the central government.

Mamata Banerjee even refused to obey many central government orders and laws. The biggest example is the Citizenship Amendment Law, on which Mamata Banerjee has said she will not allow this law to be applied in West Bengal. At the same time, the government of Maharashtra also attempted to overthrow many orders of the central government and in many cases there was a conflict between the state and the central government over the investigation. Perhaps this is the reason why the dismembered gang wants to sow the seeds of separatism in these two states by profiting from this political confrontation.

If tomorrow, in a state, a government of such a party or leader is formed, which is in favor of separatism, then what does the Constitution say in such a situation. In these circumstances, the governor of that state may recommend that the president dissolve the Legislative Assembly to avoid the collapse of the constitutional structure and maintain the legal system.

However, another important point is that the country’s Constituent Assembly made it clear that no state has the right to secede from India in any case and that the Constitution does not allow it. Let us cite an example. Pannu spoke of the Kosovo model in his letter to CM Banerjee and CM Thackeray.

Kosovo is the second newest country in the world after South Sudan, although many countries, including India, China and Russia, do not recognize it as a nation. Because these countries believe that it will promote separatism and that in these countries too many provinces and states will start demanding independence, which will not be fair for the national unity and integrity of any country. However, there is also the United States, Canada and many western countries, which consider Kosovo to be an independent country.

Kosovo declared independence from Serbia, a European country, on February 17, 2008. Kosovo has a population of less than 2 million, of which Albania has the largest Muslim population. However, there was a time when Christians were in the majority in this part of Serbia. But after being part of the Osmani Empire, the Muslim population of Albania gradually increased, and by the 20th century, the Christian population declined significantly. When the population of Albanian Muslims increased, these people launched a campaign of separatism against Serbia.

It was the result of opportunistic alliances of Western countries and radical Muslim organizations that the spirit of separatism broke out in the province of Kosovo in Serbia and later it became a separate country.

When Serbia opposed Kosovo’s independence in the International Court of Justice, the ruling, in this case, came in favor of Kosovo. The international court then ruled that Kosovo’s independence did not violate any rule or constitution. This decision has raised the concern of democratic countries which speak of sovereignty and integrity. India was also among them and this is the reason why India still does not recognize Kosovo as a nation.

Terrorist organizations looking for Khalistan want the same to be repeated in India as in Serbia in 2008, and Pannu is also calling for help from states like Maharashtra and West Bengal at the International Court of Justice. The language of separatism is the same all over the world. The “Tukde Tukde” gang which breaks up countries and divides them into different parts speaks the same language and this language is hate and selfishness. The Quebec province of Canada demands freedom, there is also a demand for independence in Catalonia in Spain, in Scotland in Great Britain, in Chechnya in Russia, in Tibet in China and in Balochistan in Pakistan and in Sindh. However, there are people in our country, in whose hearts and minds a huge tree of separatism has made its place and these people dream of tearing India to pieces.

On February 12, an event took place in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, on the anniversary of Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. In this program, on January 26, the families of the accused who raised a flag of a special religion at the Red Fort were summoned to the stage and honored and received a reward of Rs 50,000 each.

We want you to decide today whether this country will function according to democracy or according to the ideas of separatism. Because the country where democracy is threatened by separatism, democracy is starting to drain in this country and we will not allow that to happen at all.

Today we are giving you more important information related to this program, but first let us tell you about Jaskaran Singh. Jaskaran Singh is the president of the Kisan Amritsar Union, which is involved in the ongoing peasant movement in Delhi.

More importantly, Jaskaran Singh was present in the country’s capital during the violence that erupted in Delhi on January 26. Singh has said some things about Bhagat Singh in this program. He said that Sikhs like him do not consider Bhagat Singh their hero because Bhagat Singh had sacrificed himself for the independence of India. He considers Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as his hero. If Bhagat Singh, who embraced martyrdom for the country’s independence, had been alive today, he would have been sad to hear these things. We want you to hear these things about Jaskaran Singh today and identify his real face as well.

Today you must also understand why these people who ask for Khalistan regard Bhagat Singh as their enemy? Let’s explain ourselves in four points. First, Bhagat Singh, at the age of 23, martyred independent India, placing Indian identity at the top of his religious identity. Bhindranwale wanted to break this secular India and create a separate country for the Sikhs.

Second, Bhagat Singh established the Naujawan Bharat Sabha in March 1926. In 1928, he changed the name of the Hindustan Republican Association to the Hindustan Republican Socialist Association. On behalf of these organizations, you can understand that in Bhagat Singh’s thoughts there was only place for India and not for Khalistan.

Third, Bhagat Singh dreamed of an India where we value our Indian identity rather than our religious identity. Fourth, Bhagat Singh spoke about the rights of farmers and workers. He didn’t talk about the rights of Sikhs or religion. So these are the things because of which these people who ask Khalistan do not like Bhagat Singh.

The event took place in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab on February 12 and was hosted by Shiromani Akali Dal, Amritsar, which was established in 1994 under the Amritsar Declaration. The current Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, is one of its founding members. The main objective of the Amritsar Declaration of 1994 was to demand a separate space for Sikhs in the democratic realm. However, during the elections to the Legislative Assembly in Punjab in 1998, the leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar were severely beaten. They were completely rejected by the people of Punjab. After that, Captain Amarinder Singh joined Congress again and is today the Chief Minister of the Punjab. There can be no room for separatism in democracy.
