Australian opener David Warner shared two videos on Instagram, which show his wife Candice giving girls Ivy-Mae (6) and Indi-Rae (4) a little batting practice. The first video shows Indi-Rae taking her photos on the first delivery herself, looking to attack the majority of the bullets. “But batting practice today for Indi @ candywarner1 will make a good #family coach,” (sic) read the caption on the Australia opener’s post.
The second video featuring Ivy-Mae shows her focusing more on achieving quick doubles, rather than close-ups. “Now it’s Ivy’s turn, she’s going to perform them hard, wait until the end !! @ candywarner1 #family #cricket,” the caption of the Warner video read.
The Australian opener is part of the team for the next home series against India. The series includes three ODIs, the same number of T20I games and four test matches.
The first 50 Plus game will take place on November 27 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which will also host the second ODI clash.
Warner was last seen in action during the Recently concluded 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 34-year-old led the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 2020 IPL, making an impact with the bat.
Warner finished as the third top scorer in the cash-rich league season. The opener has scored 548 points in 16 games at a 134.64 strike rate. The points total was accumulated at an average of 39.14 with an unbeaten 85 being the highest score recorded by the batter during the season.
