Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller Tenet will finally be released in India. It will hit theaters nationwide on December 4.
In many markets, the film was released earlier this year in August and September, and Indian theaters were not open at the time.
The film, starring John David Washington, Kenneth Branagh, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, and Michael Caine, involves a concept called inversion, which is said to be a kind of communication with the future.
Washington’s main character, referred to simply as The Protagonist, is tasked with saving the world from WWIII, and it’s not Armageddon the world faces, we’re told, but something worse.
Dimple Kapadia made the announcement via the official Warner Bros India Twitter handle. She said the film has some dramatic action sequences and twists that are best enjoyed on the big screen.

Tenet got mostly positive reviews, gaining 71% at Rotten Tomatoes. The critical consensus reads: “A visually dazzling puzzle for moviegoers to unlock, Tenet serves up all the brain shows audiences expect from a Christopher Nolan production.”
Despite all the hype surrounding the film’s release, it only raised just over $ 350 million, well below expectations.
