New Delhi:
The Bharatiya Janata party and its allies will not claim to form the government in Pondicherry, sources said today, days after Congress lost power in Union territory. Lt. Gov. Tamilisai Soundararajan has recommended the president’s reign, sources said.
Ms Soundararajan sent her recommendation letter which will be approved at the Cabinet meeting today, sources told NDTV.
V Narayanasamy’s government collapsed on Monday, just three months before the election, after the Congress-DMK coalition failed to achieve a majority of 14 in the 26-member assembly after six resignations.
