A special court in Mumbai sent actress Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiya to 13 days in police custody on Sunday. The couple were arrested in connection with a drug seizure and use case filed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Shortly after the order was made to send them into custody until December 4, the duo requested a bond which will be taken back on Monday.
The NCB attacked the production office and the home of comedian Bharti Singh on Saturday and from both places 86.5g of ganja were recovered. NCB had previously raided a place in the Khar Danda region and caught a 21-year-old trafficker with various drugs, including 15 prints of LSD (commercial quantity), ganja (40 grams) and nitrazepam (psychotropic drugs) ).
The NCB has focused on the couple after a couple of drug dealers, arrested Friday night in an ongoing action, revealed the names of Bharti and Harsh, NCB area official Sameer Wankhede informed.
In continuation and in corroboration with previous contributions, NCB raided the production office and the home of comedian Bharti Singh. It comes as the investigation, which began from the drug case in connection with the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, continues to extend to alleged drug abuse by Bollywood celebrities.
Notably, a raid was also carried out at the residence of actor Arjun Rampal, after which he and his girlfriend were summoned by the BCN for questioning on the matter.
